Dr.'s Remedy Winter Wonder-Nails Swatches

by - 22 February

It's snowing, and I'm not feeling particularly Spring-y, so this is the perfect time to share some winter shades with you.

1 coat

Desire Dark Brown is, clearly, a dark brown creme. I love deep chocolate shades like this because anything lighter makes my hands look funny. It has awesome pigmentation, too. 1 coat was satisfactory in normal lighting, but of course, under the scrutiny of a bright light and macro setting, a couple bald spots showed up. Regardless, it's a gorgeous shade.

Healing Heather Grey is a blue-toned grey creme. I really love this one. I think the coolness of it works well with my warm skin, which can't be said for all my grey creme. I have a lot of grey cremes, but I can't put my finger on which on this reminds me of. Not very unique, but still pretty.

Revive Ruby Red is a red with orange shimmer. While the orange isn't very obvious on the nail, at the right angle you can catch a glimpse of it. I'm personally not a huge fan of red shimmers, but this might tickle your fancy if you are. Also, talk about crazy pigmented, huh? I don't often come across one coat shimmers.

There's a fourth shade in the collection, Nurture Nude Pink. I love that the names are ridiculously self-explanatory, lol.

The formula on these is great. I had not problems with application and dry time was actually quite speedy. I wore Desire Dark Brown for 4 days and experienced just a little bit of tip wear. Also, I didn't notice much of a smell from these. Typically when you open a bottle of polish, it's obvious you've just opened a bottle of polish. Not the case with these. Pretty cool.

Overall, the Winter Wonder-Nails shades aren't the most unique, and at $16 a bottle, you can definitely find cheaper dupes. They do have an awesome formula and great nail benefits that give them a leg up, though. It's up to you whether that justifies the cost of these.

This is a completely new polish brand to me, so I did a little research. Dr.'s Remedy takes Big 3 Free to the next level. Their polishes have garlic bulb extract (promotes nail growth), wheat protein (promotes nail moisture and strength), and other good for you ingredients. It's the first-ever nail polish approved by the American Podiatric Medical Association. High five, Dr.'s!

They've already released their Spring line, which has much more unique shades. Check out their website @ www.remedynails.com/
