Essie Borrowed & Blue vs Hard Candy Sky
The main difference between these two is the shimmer. Borrowed & Blue is a creme while Sky has a bright blue shimmer. Sky also looks a bit green when compared to B&B. I would say they're different enough to own both.
If you would be happy owning just one of these, go for Borrowed & Blue. The formula is awesome, and it's opaque in just two coats. Sky is tricky to apply and takes 3+ coats to even it out.
Top to bottom: B&B, Sky, B&B
2 coats of B&B and 3 coats of Sky

like "borrowed" better, getting some this weekend!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! I hope you love it as much as I do. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comparison! I will definitely pick up B&B, regardless if they are essentially the same :)
ReplyDeleteWhere can B&B be purchased? My local CVS didn't have it...
ReplyDeleteI don't think it will be released for retail, so your best bet is Ulta or a local salon that sells Essie. Online, you can get it at Head2ToeBeauty or Transdesign.
ReplyDeletesuch a gorgeous color really reminds me of easter eggs.
ReplyDeleteSky is one of my top 3 most favorite polishes EVER, it is the prettiest thing I've ever seen as far as cosmetics go! :)
ReplyDeleteAwesome! It is very pretty. :) I just wish the formula were better!
