OPI The Man With The Golden Gun Swatch & Review
2 coats over China Glaze Refresh Mint |
OPI The Man With The Golden Gun is an 18k gold topcoat. The flakes are larger than Sephora by OPI It's Real but smaller than Zoya Gilty. I'll have a comp up soon.
I didn't love the application because the base is pretty thick, and the gold flakes are smaller than I expected. It is pretty, though, and I don't regret purchasing it.
Golden Gun retails for $30 and is available at Ulta.

such a pretty combo! i wore mine over skyfall and love it, but the application IS annoying...buut gold bottle!!! lol
ReplyDeletei just ordered mine yesterday. cannot wait to try it over Live & Let Die.
ReplyDeleteIt looks lovely, especially with that base color. It does seem a bit skimpy on the flakes though.
ReplyDeleteGirl, that is pure perfection!
ReplyDeleteIt looks perfect over the CG, great combo!
ReplyDeleteikr?? The minute I saw the gold bottle in the press release, I knew it would be mine. :)
ReplyDeleteOoo, sounds like a super pretty combo!
ReplyDeleteYeah, I'm gonna try a couple more coats next time.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I'm really loving this combo.
ReplyDeleteI am sooo rocking this topper. I was lucky enough to have bought it from someone I know who is licensed and she ordered them long before they released. Also there was a price change on them from when 'we' ordered and later...so I got mine for only $15 which was high for me but fair considering it sells for $30 if you can even find it. I am so in love with it - wearing it now over Tomorrow Never Dies and cannot stop looking at my fingers! Plus it makes my polish last a full week with a tiny tip touch up to the under polish shade.
ReplyDeleteAgree - these are smaller flakes than the Zoya (and I like this size - think it's perfect) - and also for me MWGG is easier to get on the nail in good distribution than the Zoya Guilty is. I did not like the It's Real 18kt at all - way too small of pieces - it looked like gold glitter to me and not at all worth the price - but I only played with that one in a Sephora last summer.
ReplyDeleteI did dab mine a # of times to get the right coverage over the nail - it did not take to a normal swipe of the brush well - I did that first then went back and did the dab, dab thing and it came out fab.
ReplyDeleteso nice
