Sandwich Saturday: Zoya Katherine and Deborah Lippmann Edge of Glory
Please bear with me while I figure out my new lighting setup. I broke the lights I was using previously, so I decided to use my OttLite for the first time.I'm not sure how I feel about it yet, so feedback would be lovely. I've reordered my old lights and will most likely switch back once they arrive.
Onto the photos!
I love what Zoya Katherine does to the color of the DL Edge of Glory flakies. It's even cooler in person! However, I didn't quite get the depth I was hoping for with this combo. I think another coat of Katherine would've perfected it. As you see it, this is 4 coats of Katherine and 2 coats of Edge of Glory.
Zoya Katherine retails for $8 and is available on Zoya.com
Deborah Lippmann Edge of Glory is part of a set that is discontinued, but there are a few sets that are currently listed on eBay for less than retail.

Love the depth of this!
ReplyDeleteYour nails are flawless as always, I love this combo! I'm not crazy about the Ottlite :p Maybe I'm just used to the old lighting, but these pics seem too bright and blue toned.
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous! You always have wonderful, flawless jelly sandwiches. As for the OttLite, I agree with Lorena. The photos seem brighter and lack some warmth. I mainly use my ottlite for doing homework. I highly suggest a daylight bulb with a regular lamp, I find that it mimics natural sunlight quite nicely :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! I totally agree with your assessment. I like the warmth that my old lighting provided. Especially because it didn't mess with the color accuracy!
ReplyDeleteThank you, and thanks for your suggestion. I was previously using two daylight lamps, so I will definitely swatch back once they arrive.
ReplyDeleteSquishy, jelly, yummy goodness!
ReplyDeleteI always love your sandwich manis Lola, but when I try them myself they always look terrible! Sadness :(
